Location & Access: Our A-frame is nestled in a quiet mountain community at 9,000 ft. elevation, just 5 minutes off Teller County Road 1, with the final mile being an unpaved dirt road that is maintained by the county. For parking, our driveway fits two vehicles. ✦Parking: Due to the nature of the A-Frame the driveway is steep. We recommend having AWD or a front-wheel car. Parking is available on the driveway or street parking is available if weather conditions are poor. ✦4WD Vehicle Required (November – May): Due to our high altitude location and winter conditions, a 4WD or 4X4 vehicle is required from November through April. The driveway is steep, and it is recommended to park at the top of the driveway or on the street with poor conditions. The gravel road to access the cabin can get slick in the winter months. ✦ Snow Removal: Regular snow removal is provided after snowfall of 5 inches or more. You will also have access to a shovel on-site that you may use if needed. ✦ Climate Control: The Aframe is located in a quiet mountain community at 9,000 ft. elevation we have baseboard heating but no AC. This is common in mountain homes as guests love the fans and the fresh mountain breeze at times. ✦ Check-in & Check-out: Enjoy convenient self check-in with our keyless entry - we'll provide your check-in instructions 2 days before your arrival. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM on the day of your departure. ✦ Starlink WiFi: Enjoy high-speed Starlink WiFi with speeds up to 200 mbps. ✦ Cellular Service: As we are in a rural mountain area, cellular signals can be very spotty and vary by carrier. To ensure a smooth arrival, we recommend taking a screenshot of the check-in instructions before you reach the property. ✦ Fire Bans & Patio Fire Pit Table: The A-Frame is in a beautiful mountain environment; therefore there is a high wildfire risk. Open wood fires are strictly prohibited on the property at all times. We are happy to offer a beautiful outdoor gas fire pit table on the deck for year-round enjoyment! However, its use is strictly subject to local fire conditions. Please note that if Teller County enact a Stage 3 fire ban during your stay, the gas fire pit will be temporarily unavailable. We ask that you please keep this possibility in mind before booking your stay, as weather and safety mandates are outside of our control. ✦ Laundry: A full size washer and dryer are available for your use during your stay. ✦ Baby & Toddler: For families traveling with little ones, we provide a pack-n-play, which is conveniently located in the lower bedroom closet. Please keep in mind that the home is not fully childproofed. Extra caution is required around the indoor gas fireplace and baseboard heaters, which will become hot during use. ✦ Pet Policy: We welcome one well-behaved dog per reservation and provide the following essentials: - Water and food bowls - Waterproof tray - Furniture pet protector blanket ‣ Pet Protector Blanket: Your dog is welcome on the living room sofa when using the provided pet protector blanket, but we kindly ask that they stay off all beds. An additional $100 deep-cleaning fee will be charged if excessive hair is found on the beds or furniture. ‣ Pet Waste: Please clean up after your dog during your stay; a $50 fine will be incurred if pet waste is found on property that has not been bagged and properly disposed of in the trash. ‣ Pet Responsibility: Pets must not be left unattended inside or outside the property at any time. Water Supply: Our cabin offers fresh mountain water—we also provide a Brita filter pitcher in the refrigerator for your preference. Wildlife: Our property offers amazing opportunities to view Colorado wildlife from the cabin, including deer, elk, fox, eagles, wild turkeys, and the occasional black bear. For everyone's safety, please never feed wildlife or leave food/trash outside unattended. All trash must be placed in the garbage can.
